HOW CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
BECOME A MENTOR
Our greatest resources are our volunteers, specifically our mentors. You too can become a mentor and make a positive difference - not just in an individual's life, but in your community.
WHAT IS A MENTOR?
A mentor is someone who inspires, teaches, and sets an example. A mentor is a motivator and a resource. A mentor is a pillar of support, a listening ear, and a friend.
WHO WOULD I BE WORKING WITH?
Mentors can choose to work with the Youth or Returning citizens division. They are paired with individuals based on personality, interests, and goals.
WHAT ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES DOES A MENTOR HAVE?
Mentors must meet regularly with their mentees as well as attend the introductory training workshop. There is also recorded keeping involved (activity logs, contact sheets, etc.).
Please email Jerome R. Wright at [email protected] if you would like to be a part of the M.A.N. Program.
D O N A T E
The M.A.N. program operates out of donated space 170 Franklin Street, Buffalo, NY 14202. Even this website was created and donated by a volunteer, Katherine Russell. All other resources, including field trips for our mentees, classroom activities, and mentor workshops, come from your generous support. All donations are tax-deductible, as we operate under the auspices and fiduciary support of the Coalition for Parole Restoration, a registered 501(c)(3).
